this is a great backpack for small dogs! my puppy currently weighs 5.5 pounds and she can lay down in the bag. she actually likes being in it. it's double mesh so it's difficult for people to tell that there is a dog inside unless the puppy is moving around (easy to sneak her in places). it's great for airplanes if you want to take your dog as carry on. be warned, nothing else will really fit under your seat besides the backpack. another great thing is the bag is really light and supportive. it's very comfortable. my shoulders never hurt and it's easy to cart her around in airports or anywhere. the only draw back is since it is mesh, i can't leave my dog alone in it b/c she would start chewing the mesh. she actually destroyed another bag i had that way. but that is my fault not the dog's!

My wife has a small cat, but this bag is just too small to carry it in comfort. I am very satisfied with the quality and detail of the bag. It is too bad the bag was too small because I really thought that for the price, it would be the perfect carrier. Now, I have to order another carrier so that she can carry the cat in comfort on a very long overseas flight.
