I use the basket to take short bike rides with my small dog. I've had the product for almost 4 months, but haven't gotten much use out of it due to living in an area that has cold snowy long winters. We've just recently begun to have warm enough weather to take bike rides. My dog needs to get used to it. He's still a little leary of getting in the basket.

We use the basket for 8-10 mile leisure rides with my 12-pound schnoodle. He got comfortable with it relatively quickly. You also need a harness for the dog that goes around his arms. There's a hook on the interior of the basket to keep them from jumping out, but obviously it cannot be connected to a collar due to the choking hazard.
The basket was very easy to set up, and I would recommend it to someone who is looking to be able to take a smaller dog with them while they bike.
