      I bought this for the two beagles I own. One is 13 years old and the other, 3 years, had injured his hind leg and couldn't jump up on the bed. Even though he is better now he still uses the stairs. The older one still jumps up but I'm hoping I can "teach an old dog a new trick".

              i have had several different doggie steps ranging from $50 to $120. They were made of wood
              and were heavy. My dog ate them, stained them, or in other ways ruined them. This product is great. My dog can't eat it (due to its hard plastic make) she can't stain it (as I can remove
              the material on the steps and clean it) and it is
              heavy duty without being heavy. Lastly the price is great.

              I purchased this for my 10 yr. old yorkie who was having difficulty jumping up to our couch. It was easy to assemble, however, he was terrified of it. I placed him on it and his nails made noise against the plastic and he slipped and lost his footing. He scrambled off and would not go anywhere near it again. I disassembled it and put it back in the box and it's now in our garage.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                  I have three yorkies and one medium elderly dog and they all have trouble getting on and off my furniture. These steps are stong enough for the bigger dog to use, yet not too large for the yorkies. They can all now safely get on and off of the couch with ease and I don't have to worry anymore about any falls.
