The steps are the perfect solution to having to frequently get up and lift our toy fox terriers onto our laps. Two out of three had never learned that they could jump onto the furniture. They learned to use the steps immediately, making life a whole lot easier for us.

I am actually using this for a 120lb Rhodesian Ridgeback, though it's made for lighter use. I have it pushed up firmly at the foot of my bed and she casually walks up it with no problems. We were worried about her jumping up to the bed and the wear on her joints, since she's such a big girl.
