This is definitely the "Rolls Royce" of cages.I received it , had it put together , and went online to purchase "another one"! I have them on one wall in my office , boys in one , girls in the other ! I rescue...I do not breed. Everything is good , it's a great product. With "one"exception...the small animal community is crying for 4" deep pans on the full levels. It would only benefit Midwest Cages to hear them .

Bought cage for our 2 pet rats. Great choice. The instructions are a little confusing, but the end product is attractive and strong. The trays are shallow, so bedding tends to fly out. We added duct tape around the exterior at the tray line, so the bedding can't leave the cage. The doors open wide, so cleaning is a BREEZE. The trays come all the way out without any effort. Worth the cost.

"I bought a double unit critter nation for my 5 rattie boys about 2 months ago and they love all the space they have now. I love how easy it is to clean and move (even though the cage is heavy) since it has casters, it glides along easily anywhere in my house. The doors open up the entire front of the cage, making it very easy to reach anywhere inside. My only small complaint is the pans, I wish they were a little bit deeper. I do use fleece and litter boxes with my boys, but they do not always use their little pans ;) and still throw quite a bit of stuff out every night and since they are constantly chewing up the fleece liners I wish I could use bedding. :) But compared to other cages on the market for rats, this is hands down the best choice. I also like that the shelves and bottom are solid, so safer for their little feet. It looks more like furniture than a cage. Ours is kept in the living room and looks very nice."

I love this cage I currently own two of them. It is large enough to accomadate my 7 females in one and 5 males in the other, with room to spare. Bar spaceing is perfect for smaller rats, even babies. It's easy to put together. I love decorating it, there are so many options. So easy to clean. I would reccomend this cage to any one looking to purchase a cage. There is enough room to make just a few or many ratties and their humans very happy. It is worth it!!!

I bought my Critter Nation 162 as a cage for my rats. This cage is great. It's structurally sound, my rats LOVE climbing a cage nearly as tall as me to explore all the levels, and there is room in it to put all the toys and things that you want. I'd definately recommend this cage to a friend or anyone that I know that is interested in looking into getting a new rat cage. It was worth every penny we spent.

The only thing we noticed that we weren't thrilled about was that the pictures in the booklet showing you how to put it together were wrong. It shows holes in pieces that have no holes and the holes actually end up being punched in other places in pieces above it. It didn't change the cage and it's perfect but they do need to adjust the booklet so it doesn't make people go insane that it doesn't look right. We were afraid we'd have to call and ask for replacement parts the second we took it out of the box until we started putting it together anyway.

Service and delivery comments:

The delivery on this product was amazingly fast. We couldn't have been happier. The item shipped on 12/15/2008 and we received it yesterday, 12/19/2008. and I'm pretty sure the shipping address said it first left from Indiana...and I live across the country in California. When I received the package even the box wasn't damaged so of course the item inside was beautifully packaged. Overall, I was thrilled with this entire process.
