Classic Pet Bed crates are made from solid mahogany in their shop in Maine. The wood comes in full 1" rough sawn boards and they mill it down to a final 13/16" thick. The top is held down with "ball clasp" latches for easy removal. The lock on the door is a "Hoosier" latch (just like an old style ice box door has) which flips up to open and falls in place and is made from solid brass. No fiddling around with draw bolts or hard to turn knob type latches.

While working for a highend furniture company, Randy Malm decided to make a bed for his cats. After friends saw his design, they told him to market it. So 10 years ago he started to market "The Classic Cat Bed". Only the best wood and fabric went into these beds. Solid cherry and fleece fabric was used. He sold 300 of these beds that first Christmas through cat magazine ads. After that he sold them solely through word of mouth and with local pet shops. His wife Brenda, joined the family and since the spring of 2006, Classic Cat Beds has changed it's name to Classic Pet Beds and now have added the Classic Dog Bed and a full line of dog and cat diners.
After years with the high end furniture industry, Classic Pet Beds doesn't settle for second rate products. That is why they have a one year warranty on all their products. Every item that is sold is made in Maine at their facility and won't leave unless it is perfect.
