I bought this bed recently and so far, it's been great. I bought the medium size for my small (9-10 lbs) dog because he likes to stretch out -- he fits in the small size but only curled up, so I would recommend the medium for all but the tiniest dogs. I selected it after a great deal of checking out beds in stores. It was the only one I found with two layers of cushioning -- a cushion in the bed itself and then a thick foam layer on the bottom. The fabric seems tough and should last long. I haven't taken it apart yet to clean, so I can't comment on that.

Buddy is an English Pointer weighing 78 pounds. I bought the "medium" size and it's perfect for him. I was a bit concerned because of the cost, but feel it was worth every penny. You won't believe how clean it comes out of the washer. You can also buy replacement parts (covers, inserts, etc) without having to buy the whole bed. It's hard to get Buddy out of the bed so I can wash it. I have to wait until he's outside so I can "steal" it. I highly recommend it.
