This is a great product for active cats - keeps them occupied for hours! Needs to have more weight on base to prevent tipping.

The house, teepee, and hammocks are a little too small for my cat, and she only sits on the first two levels. My Squirrel has set up nests in house and top look out hammock, what great fun!!!

My little cat (she's three months) LOVES this cat tree. She snoozes inside the different condo components, and she likes to climb to the tippy top to get a break from my older, bigger cat.
The only complaint I have is that my older guy cannot enjoy it so much, because he's too big to stretch out and be comfortable. He is a medium-large kitty, about 14 pounds... but he mainly stays off of this cat tree because most of the perches and play-spots are not big enough for him.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is best for smaller cats. The available space on the platforms isn't enuogh for big-girl 13 lb cat to sit comfortably.

My cats hang out here all day long .
It has so many places to go and things to do that they each have staked a claim to their own part of the tree.
Building the tree was easy and kind of fun; however, I was not prepared for how tall it was going to be and that I would need help to finish it.
It was well worth the trouble to finish because this tree has made my cats so happy and given me such joy in watching them play in their new home.
