The only drawback is the color. I got both stairs in brown & it is a darker brown than I thought. All 3 of my dogs, who are used to pet stairs (in green & beige) are having difficulty with them. I think it is the dark color. They seem to be having problems with depth perception. My 7 yr old Pom won't use them at all. My Yorkie, who does Agility & flew up & down the old stairs, has to be coaxed up & down these. I'm going to put strips on the edges of the steps to see if that helps.
I gave only 4 stars because of the color. A lighter brown may be easier for the dogs to see the steps. Other than that, I would give them 5!

Would be nice if you could take off the cover to clean (albeit you probably couldn't have carpet covering if this was the case). Could be made out of lighter material.
